BEST MAPLE COOKIES!

EASY FALL COOKIES

These delicious Maple Cookies are a soft-baked brown sugar cookies with simple maple icing. Great to top with chopped pecans or crumbled bacon!

– butter – brown sugar – maple syrup – egg –  vanilla extract – all-purpose flour – baking soda – ground cinnamon – powdered sugar – milk – chopped pecans

In a large mixing bowl, add the butter and brown sugar and Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until fluffy.

Then add the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract and blend again.

add the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon and blend just until the dry ingredients are barely mixed

scoop 1 ½  tablespoons of dough and roll into balls and place them at least 2 inches apart.

Using the bottom of a glass, press each ball down until ½” thick thick

Bake at 350 F  for 10-12 minutes. Then cool completely on pan

Frosting ingredients - powdered sugar, maple syrup and milk.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together frosting ingredients.

Dip the cookies into the glaze and place them on a wire cooling rack to set. 

Top with chopped pecans!

Variations Stir in some white chocolate chips to the cookie dough for added sweetness. Crumble bacon for the top of the cookies for a sweet and salty twist. Make a maple frosting instead of the sweet maple glaze.
