NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER

DELICIOUS SOUP

The best, creamy New England clam chowder recipe uses tender potatoes, bacon, and plenty of cooked clams in a rich, creamy broth with a slightly smoky flavor. It’s what we call comfort in a bowl!

Cook the diced bacon in a large pot until crispy.

Remove the bacon then melt butter in with bacon fat then cook the carrots, celery, and onions until tender.

Sprinkle in flour, garlic, and thyme and stir to coat the veggies and pour in chicken both.

Add in potatoes, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Then, add the chopped clams and juice.

Stir in heavy cream and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.

Garnish with remaining bacon crumbles and fresh parsley prior to serving.

 ENJOY!
