Famous Chocolate Wafer Cake, with it’s chocolatey and sweet cream goodness, is one of easiest and most delicious no-bake desserts you will ever make!
In our house we actually call this “Grandma’s Chocolate Cake” since my husband’s grandmother was the one that first made it for him. Whenever we need/want a simple, and extremely delicious dessert by the way, the words are spoken. Can we make Grandma’s Chocolate Cake?
While in Florida a few weeks ago, my mother-in-law and daughter made it to serve at a small dinner party she had and I thought it was high time I shared it with you. If you have never made this, you are in for a surprising treat!
The chocolate wafers become a soft cake as it refrigerates in the sweet cream creating one of the most amazing ice box cakes eva. It’s magical!
Disclosure: I’m not promising it’s the “prettiest” little thing but the taste makes up for that ten fold!
Note: I find the Nabisco Famous Chocolate wafers in the cookie aisle, usually up high on the shelf.
