EASY HOMEMADE APPLE BUTTER

BEST FALL TREAT

This smooth, velvety homemade Apple Butter is made using simple ingredients cooked low and slow

Granny smith apples   brown sugar water lemon juice  cinnamon

Place the diced apples, water, and lemon juice in a blender or food processor.

 Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until completely smooth.

Pour the pureed apple mixture to a slow cooker and add the brown sugar and cinnamon on top.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the it is dark brown.

Stir the apple butter every hour or two so that is doesn't burn on the bottom.

VARIATIONS 1. Use other apples of your choice. 2. Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. 3. Add all the ingredients unblended to the crock pot and cook. then puree it after cooking. 4. Store  in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

ENJOY!!

TO MAKE ON STOVETOP You could follow the same directions,  However, cook on medium-low heat in a large pot on the stove for 1-2 hours.
