APPLESAUCE CAKE

THE PERFECT FALL TREAT

This easy applesauce cake recipe is moist and perfectly spiced with cinnamon, allspice and cloves. It’s the kind of cozy dessert that tastes like fall in every bite.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and spices then set aside.

In large bowl, beat softened butter then add applesauce, egg, and vanilla and mix, then add water and stir.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined then pour batter in pan and bake

In a medium bowl, add cream cheese and softened butter then beat until fluffy, then mix in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and fluffy.

Spread frosting evenly over cake and sprinkle with cinnamon.
