MAPO TOFU

THE PERFECT DISH

Mapo tofu is one of my favorite tofu dishes tossed with spicy, savory sauce and shiitake mushrooms and served over rice. This classic recipe is a main dish that will become a family favorite dinner!

In a large skillet, heat sesame oil and add mushrooms, soy sauce, ginger, and peppercorns then set aside.

 Add more oil to skillet and sauté the tofu cubes.

In a bowl, whisk broth and cornstarch, then mix in chili paste, bean paste, and green onions.

Add the cornstarch broth to the tofu, stir until thickened, then remove from heat and mix in the mushrooms.
