Apple Oatmeal Cookies are a deliciously chewy, healthy cookie loaded with all the fall flavors of oats, fresh apples, and cinnamon!

old fashioned oats all purpose flour   baking soda  ground cinnamon  salt applesauce  butter   vanilla extract brown sugar apple

Dice apple and saute in a pan with a tablespoon of the butter and add the diced apples. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes

Add the remaining butter, applesauce, brown sugar and vanilla extract to a mixing bowl

and beat together  well

mix the oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together. in a separate bowl

Add in the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until just blended.

Fold in the diced  cooked apple and place in the refrigerator and chill for 10 minutes.

Drop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet and flatten slightly.

Bake at 350° F for  15-18 minutes
