JALAPEÑO CHEDDAR CORNBREAD

We’re taking a traditional cornbread up a notch with this jalapeño cheddar cornbread recipe. It has the perfect little kick and sharp cheesy goodness to enjoy with your favorite Mexican recipes! 

In a large bowl, add the cornmeal, flour, and granulated sugar.

Pour in the buttermilk, melted butter, and eggs and mix.

Gently fold in the shredded cheese and diced jalapeño.

Pour the batter into the  baking dish and spread evenly then add the jalapeno slices on top.

Bake cornbread for 15-17 mins until edges are golden brown, immediately brush with the honey butter and serve warm.
