LEMON SHORTBREAD COOKIES

Lemon shortbread cookies are a twist on a classic shortbread cookie recipe complete with a simple lemon glaze. They’re a wonderful addition to any dessert tray any time of year!

– Butter – Flour – Cornstarch – Powdered Sugar – Lemon – Yellow Food Coloring

In mixing bowl, beat butter until fluffy.

In separate bowl, add flour, powdered sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest.

Add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Beat until mixed.

Chill dough and roll out.

Bake cookies at 375° until golden brown.

Make icing by whisking lemon juice and powdered sugar together.

Spread the lemon icing on cookies.
