SPLIT PEA SOUP

DELICIOUS SOUP

Split pea soup is a thick and creamy soup loaded with fresh vegetables and bits of ham. Full of comfort, this wonderful, hearty soup is easy to make and perfect to enjoy any time of year!

In large pot, add diced onion, carrot, and celery, cook for about 5 minutes then add garlic and thyme.

Pour in broth and dried split peas and mix. Add bay leaves, salt and pepper.

After simmering, add in chopped ham.

After cooking time is done, remove the bay leaf prior to serving.
