Roasted Turnips

These roasted turnips are delicious! A slightly nutty, sweet vegetable that is a wonderful side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 large turnips peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks
  • 1 TBSP olive oil or coconut oil
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Peel the turnip and slice into 1 inch thick pieces. ┬áThen cut each slice into 1 inch cubes.
  • Coat a baking sheet with a little oil or your favorite spray oil.
  • Spread out peeled and cut up turnip on baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with oil and then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Toss to coat
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until desired tenderness.
