Simple Peppermint Bark Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Ghirardelli Semisweet Chocolate Two 4 oz bars
  • 8 ounces Ghirardelli White Chocolate Two 4 oz bars
  • ½ cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies

Instructions

  • Line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with parchment paper or waxed paper.
  • Melt semisweet chocolate in the microwave for 1 - 1 /1/2 minutes on high. Stir and heat for an additional 30 seconds. Stir again and repeat for another 30 seconds if necessary.
  • Spread semisweet chocolate over the waxed paper, 1/4 inch thick.
  • Place pan in the refrigerator and allow this to set for about 30 minutes.
  • Melt white chocolate in the microwave for 1 - 1 /1/2 minutes on high. Stir and heat for an additional 30 seconds. Stir again and repeat for another 30 seconds if necessary.
  • Spread white chocolate over the semisweet chocolate.
  • Sprinkle over crushed peppermint candies.
  • Gently press the candies into the chocolate to keep the candies from falling off.
  • Allow the chocolate to set for 2 hours.
  • Once the chocolate has set break into pieces. Store in an air tight container.
