What is in allspice spice?

Allspice is the dried brown berry of the tropical Pimenta dioica tree and tastes like a mixture of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. If you don’t happen to not have it on hand, you can simply mix 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, and a 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg to make your own spice blend of allspice flavors.
