Make the cake according to the package directions on the box you choose.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the pudding mix and milk until smooth then add cool whip.

Add the green gel food coloring and whisk into the mixture completely.

Cut the cooled cake into cubes.

Assemble in a glass trifle bowl, layer half the cake cubes then half the pudding mix and repeat.
