In large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together then add the egg and vanilla extract and mix.

Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the wet mixture then fold in m&m's slowly.

Use a cookie scoop to place evenly sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 9-10 mins at 350° then remove and press in m&m's on top then let cool.
