This scrumptious oven roasted onions recipe transforms simple ingredients into wonderfully seasoned caramelized onions that are a delicious side dish for so many meals.

Trim the ends off each of the raw onions, and place them in the baking dish.

Drizzle balsamic vinegar over top of the onions. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.

Top each onion with a tablespoon of butter.

Bake at 400° F on middle rack for 40-45 minutes until onions are soft.
