This classic creamy grape salad is a quick treat made with mix of juicy red and green grapes tossed in a simple blend of cream cheese, sour cream and sugar then topped with crunchy pecans and a sprinkle of brown sugar.
In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
8 ounces cream cheese
Add in the sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract and blend until well combined.
1 cup sour cream, ⅓ cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Then add in the grapes and chopped nut and gently stir to coat the grapes completely with the cream cheese mixture.
2 pound red grapes, 2 pound green grapes, 1 cup pecans
Cover and place in the refrigerator to chill and set for at least one hour.
Sprinkle the the top of the salad with brown sugar and additional pecans, if desired.
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Notes
Swap the pecans for a different kind of nut like walnuts or sliced almonds. Use full fat or ⅓ less fat cream cheese. Use light sour cream or plain Greek yogurt in place of full fat sour cream. Use vanilla yogurt and leave out the vanilla extract. Use all one color grapes if you'd like.
