Maple Glazed Carrots
Maple glazed carrots
are a perfect side dish for any meal and especially holiday dinners. They are simply brushed with simple ingredients of melted butter, maple syrup, and brown sugar then roasted until perfectly caramelized and fork-tender!

Ingredients

carrots

butter

maple syrup

brown sugar

teaspoon

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° F and cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
Peel the carrots and slice them all lengthwise then place them on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

In a microwave-safe small bowl, add the butter and microwave for 30 seconds.

Then add in maple syrup, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper and mix together well.
¼ cup maple syrup,
2 tablespoons brown sugar,
½ teaspoon salt,
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Brush the sliced carrots with the butter mixture, then turn them over and brush the other side as well.
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until fork-tender.
Remove them from the oven and garnish them with fresh herbs like rosemary, parsley or thyme.
Notes
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Choose firm carrots to have a sweeter flavor.
Slice in even sizes so they cook evenly.
