This apple crisp recipe is an ultimate, cozy fall dessert that's so easy make with a few pantry ingredients. It's hard to beat warm, cinnamon spiced apples with the best buttery crisp oat topping.
Preheat oven to 350° F and spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray
Place the sliced apples in the prepared dish.
6 large apples
In a medium bowl, add all of the other ingredients and mix well until the butter has coated all of the dry ingredients well and there are no dry spot remaining.
1 cup all purpose flour, ½ cup old fashioned oats, ½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup butter, ¼ cup granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, ½ teaspoon baking powder
Sprinkle the flour/oat mixture evenly over top of the sliced apples.
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until the apples are fork tender.
Serve as is or topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Use any baking apples like Pink Lady, McIntosh, Cortland, Gala, or Granny Smith
Add chopped walnuts or pecans to the topping mixture.
Add raisins in with the apples if desired.
