With the warmer weather here and barbeques happening often, I start making this fruit salad with honey lime dressing a couple of times a week.
Not only is it so fresh and tasty, it’s the best way to get my children to eat so much more fruit. It’s the most wonderful phenomena! Put fresh, peeled, sliced, and diced fruit in a big bowl and watch them eat.
This fruit salad goes on the table at almost every meal during the summer. Everyone spoons extras onto their plate!
It’s perfect to bring to summer barbecues and brunches too! Everyone just loves it.
You can, of course, add any fruit you would like. I do like to change it up every time I make it. Add a couple of sliced bananas, grapes, blackberries, kiwi, raspberries, apple, melon…anything!

It is over 100 today (we are breaking records in Seattle the next 3 days) and this was so refreshing, required no oven or heating of the house (we, lucky, had a heat pump installed a few years back… but only 20% of people in SEA have AC!!) My kids loved it – and it was just needed. I will be making this for years to come. Thank you!

Your fruit salad looks beautiful – and I love the honey lime dressing, Sherri. I agree, it’s much easier to get kids to eat fruit if it’s all cut up and ready. Thank you so much for sharing, and for being a part of Hearth and Soul. Featuring your post at this week’s party!

I usually just lightly sugar and let the fruit macerate. But this sounds like it takes the fruit to a higher level. Thanks for the tip
