This Preposition List Free Printable (and preposition song) is a wonderful tool for learning prepositions and picking out prepositional phrases quickly.
Learning this preposition list was an absolute lifesaver for my daughter for her grammar skills and being able to pick out prepositional phrases so much easier. (watch the video of her singing the song below)
A few PREPOSITION PHRASE TIPS to learn as well.
- A prepositional phrase BEGINS with a preposition and ENDS with a noun or pronoun.
- The subject or verb WILL BEVER be in the prepositional phrase.
- CROSS OUT any prepositional phrases FIRST to be able to identify the subject and verb easily.
- “To” + a VERB is called an INFINITIVE and IS NOT a prepositional phrase.
I recorded her when she first was learning the list and song years ago! She was so little! Where does the time go?! ( The song is sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle)
