This Homemade Greek Seasoning recipe is one of my favorite seasonings to use on any meat and vegetables to give them incredible flavor.
Making your own seasoning mixes, like this homemade taco seasoning, with the spices that you probably already have in your cabinet is a great way to get “cleaner” versions of pre-packaged seasonings by mainly getting rid of un-needed sodium and other chemical additives.
It took a while for me to find the perfect blend of greek spices, but I think I finally perfected it with this recipe. It is so versatile and I find myself using on so much more than I thought I ever would.
One of my favorite recipes to use this greek seasoning for is this Baked Greek Chicken but there are many more great ways to use it!
- Sprinkle on chicken, pork or fish that you are baking or sautéing.
- Sprinkle on vegetables that you are roasting.
- Mix with Greek yogurt, lemon and garlic and use as a marinade.
- Mix with olive oil, lemon juice and a little water for a great salad dressing.
- Mix with Greek yogurt, lemon, and garlic for a dip.
Ingredients to Make Greek Seasoning
Oregano, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Basil, Thyme, Ground Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Parsley, Paprika, Black Pepper
How to make Greek Seasoning
Simply mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container.
I usually keep a few empty spice containers on hand to be able to use for homemade seasoning like this one.
Each time you use the seasoning, shake the container to mix a little more.
