This Apple Crescent Rolls Recipe So Delicious
When I say these crescent rolls are easy to make, I mean so easy! When say they disappeared quick, I mean in less than a minute quick! I made them as a dessert and there were no leftovers at all. Mental note was made to make a double batch every time from now on! My son kept saying “these are amazing!”
I know I have mentioned before, but I love how versatile crescent rolls are. We make strawberry cream cheese crescent rolls and Nutella crescent rolls too. We love them for holiday breakfasts and they are always a hit at any party for an appetizer too.
So with that, anytime you are craving apple pie, make these to fix your craving.

Simple Ingredients Needed
The complete list of ingredients with amounts are listed in the full recipe card below.

- Apple – cored and cut into 8 pieces. I used a Gala apple but use any favorite apple. I would not use red delicious as they may get mushy. You can also use about 1 tablespoon or so of canned apple pie filling as well.
- Butter – salted or unsalted and melted
- Refrigerated crescent roll dough – any brand of an 8 count of store bought dough like Pillsbury or Annie’s.
- Brown sugar
- White granulated sugar – omit this from the mixture if you’d like and use just brown sugar. But sprinkle some on the cooked rolls after baking for a little extra on the outside.
- Ground cinnamon – use apple pie spice instead if you’d like extra apple pie flavors.
How to Make Apple Pie Crescent Rolls
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

Step 2: In medium bowl, add the butter and microwave for 15 seconds then stir until melted.
Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and stir together.
Slice the apple into 8 slices. (I cut it in half and then slice each half in half again. Then each of those pieces in half again.
Step 3: Place the apple slices in the melted butter and stir to coat evenly.
Step 4: Unroll the crescent dough and separate the 8 triangles and place them on the baking sheet.

Step 5: Divide the sugar mixture evenly over each of the dough triangles and place an apple slice on the largest end of the dough.
Step 6: Starting at the end with the apple, roll the apple up in the dough completely. Then pinch the sides together to close as much as possible. (this will help with any sugar leaking out as much).

Step 7: Brush the tops with the remaining melted butter and bake for 11-12 minutes until golden brown.

Step 8: Sprinkle with granulated sugar or a mixture of ½ sugar and half cinnamon as a topping after baking.
Enjoy plain or topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Tip
Remove them from the baking sheet immediately so that any leaked out brown sugar doesn’t harden and make them harder to remove.
How to Store Leftovers
Refrigerate – store in an air tight container for up to 3-4 days.
Freeze – place in an airtight freezer bag and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator.
Reheat – Re-crisp them in the oven preheated to 350° F for about 5-8 minutes until heated through.
