Quinoa Recipes
Part of my clean eating habits has included eating much more Quinoa (pronounced “keen-wah”) as much as possible.
If you are not familiar with quinoa yet, it is a gluten free grain that is higher in protein. It it also high in iron, magnesium, calcium and even antioxidant flavonoids.
There are so many wonderful ways to prepare quinoa. You can eat it warm as a side dish or cold as a salad. I even makes entire meals out of it by adding cooked chicken.
Quinoa is very easy to cook. Simply add one part of dry quinoa to two parts water. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer and cover for 15 minutes. (20 minutes if doubling the recipe)
