This burrata peach salad is fresh, simple, and full of summer flavor. Juicy peaches, creamy burrata cheese, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze come together in just minutes for an easy appetizer or side dish. It feels a little fancy, but it couldn't be easier to make.

We Are In Love With This Peach and Burrata Salad

When fresh peach season rolls around each year, I go all in on everything peaches. This summer salad became an all-time favorite the first time I had it. I never expected the blend of sweet and savory flavors to be so wonderful.  If you have never tried this flavor combo, my entire family says you must!

Double this recipe and place on a pretty serving platter for a dinner party that will completely wow your guests!

Although we love it simple, adding more flavor is always a possibility. Here are a few variations you can try if you’d like to take it up a notch further.

    1. Add a bed of arugula under the peaches.
    2. Add prosciutto
    3. Sprinkle some roasted pistachios or almond slivers over top.
    4. Add thinly sliced red onion, green onions or a shallot.
    5. Add a few sliced cherry tomatoes
    6. Take it up a notch by using grilled peaches.

Ingredients Needed To Make This Recipe

The complete list of ingredients with amounts are listed in the full recipe card below.

    • Fresh peaches – Use ripe peaches that are still slightly firm so the slices hold their shape better. I like to cut the slices while still on the pit then peel them away. (see my images below) Nectarines can also work too.
    • Burrata cheese – Drain it and gently pat it dry with a paper towel before adding to the plate so the salad doesn't get watery. Fresh mozzarella can be used if you can't find fresh burrata, though burrata is so creamy delicious.
    • Fresh basil leaves – The flavor that the basil gives this salad is impeccable.
    • Balsamic glaze – I love Trader Joe’s brand. It has a richer flavor. But if you can’t find it, a drizzle of good balsamic vinegar or balsamic vinaigrette dressing will work too. You can also cook down ½ cup cup balsamic vinegar with a couple of tablespoons of honey or brown sugar in a small pot over medium heat for 10 minutes, whisking until it has thickened. Let it cool before drizzling over the salad.
    • Extra virgin olive oil – I like to use a quality olive oil for wonderful flavor.
    • Sea salt and black pepper

Step 4: Drizzle the balsamic glaze, olive oil, salt and pepper over the entire salad.

This salad is best when served within 2 hours of making it ….before the peaches have a chance to brown.
