Cake Mix Cookies are a great simple, yummy little treat to whip up for any occasion. They are completely versatile with add-in options of your choice. You can even made a gluten free versions.
Feel free to add chocolate chips, m&m’s, nuts, or sprinkles, etc.
My daughter wanted to make some Spring themed cake mix cookies for our first batch complete with sprinkles and Easter colored M&M’s.
Instead of following the directions on the cake mix box, you just combine the cake mix with ⅓ cup of canola oil and 2 eggs. Then roll into balls and press them down. Then pop them in the over for 7-8 minutes.
Don’t forget to grab your glass of cold milk!
INGREDIENTS
1 Box of White Cake Mix
⅓ cup canola oil
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of Sprinkles
1 Cup M&M’s (seasonal ones are great for special occasions)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven at 350º degrees F.
**DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON CAKE BOX.**
Mix the dry cake mix with ⅓ cup oil and 2 eggs together with a spoon until moist
Fold in the sprinkles.
Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet.
Dip the bottom of a glass in flour and use it to flatten the cookies (to approx. ¼″ thick).
Gently press three M&Ms into thetop of each cookie.
Bake at 350º F for 7 to 8 minutes careful no not overcook. The cookies will harden more as the cool.
ENJOY!!!
