What’s in Crack Dip?
The complete list of ingredients with amounts are listed in the full recipe card below.
- Cream cheese – Softened. I let it sit on the counter for about 30 minutes. If you are in a hurry, you can place the unwrapped block in a bowl and microwave it for 15 seconds.
- Sour cream – Use either regular or light sour cream. Or swap it for plain Greek yogurt if you’d like. Swap ½ cup of the sour cream for mayonnaise instead and use 1 cup of sour cream.
- Dry ranch seasoning mix – My favorite is the Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix. NOT the ranch dip mix. (this has a different flavor in my opinion)
- Shredded cheddar cheese – Freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese is the best in the dip. I use this shredded and it’s SO quick! Use mild cheddar or a different kind of cheese like Colby Jack, Monterey, or even a Pepper jack for a spicy flavor.
- Bacon crumbles – I used a box of microwavable bacon and crumbled it. Feel free to cook real bacon (I like to bake bacon in the oven for this or bacon bits.
- Green onions – sliced thin. I just use the green part.
Variations to Try
Add even more flavor with this ideas:
1. Add a teaspoon of garlic powder
2. Add ½ a finely diced jalapeños or a dash of cayenne pepper.
