These easy Snowball Cookies are a buttery, shortbread cookie with pecans that are baked then dipped in powdered sugar. A Holiday favorite add to your Christmas cookie list!
Making these old fashioned cookies, that I grew up calling Pecan Balls, are truly one of my fondest memories of my childhood Christmas traditions. I made these cookies and these Oreo Balls with my mother every single year and I felt like such a big girl rolling the dough into little balls. It’s so great carrying on the tradition with my children as well.
Some people know these treats as Mexican Wedding Cookies or even Russian Tea cookies. However you may know them, they are melt-in-your-mouth yumminess that everyone loves.
They are a simple, buttery shortbread cookie with chopped pecans in the dough. After cooking and cooling, they are rolled in powdered sugar for the finished touch.
