    Almond Butter Granola Bars

Since I made these Chocolate Almond Butter Oatmeal Bites,  I have wanted to try making no granola bars too.

You can add any other dried fruit or nuts and even coconut flakes. I just made a batch to take on our camping trip this weekend at the Cape.

    Ingredients for These Granola Bars

    Makes 10 bars

    • 1 cup almond butter (or any other nut butter will work too)
    • ¼ cup honey
    • ½ cup coconut oil
    • 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
    • ½ cup sliced almonds
    • ¼ – ½ cup of raisins
    • optional: ¼ cup mini chocolate chips, coconut flakes, or other dried fruit

How to Make Almond Butter Granola Bars

Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.

In a medium sized, combine the almond butter, honey, and coconut oil and heat on low.

Stir until melted and completely smooth.

Remove from heat and stir in oats, raisins and sliced almonds.

Pour mixture into baking dish, spreading an even layer and pressing down firmly with the back of a spatula. Top with mini chocolate chips if you would like

    Refrigerate for 15 – 20 minutes

Slice into small bars and store in an air tight container.

I have saved many granola bar recipes on my phone. I finally decided to try one. I picked your recipe because it looked so tasty and easy. I just cut up the batch & tried one. Delicious & tasty as your photo. Thanks for converting me to making my own granola bars from now on. Can’t wait to try different nut butters & mix-ins.
