Hummus is one of my favorite healthy snacks to each with veggies or pita chips. It is made with chickpeas, which is a wonderful source of protein but also contains fiber, iron and manganese.
But have you ever had hummus in a sandwich or wrap. Or even as a topping for chicken or fish. Oh my!
I like to cook a huge batch of dried chickpeas and keep them in the freezer to pull out for recipes. If you have never made roasted chickpeas, I highly recommend them as another little treat.
You get so much more for your money cooking dried chickpeas yourself plus without the added sodium from canned versions.

There is hardly not anything that I don’t like, but I have not developed a taste for hummus yet. lol! It looks so yummy and I keep trying it, but I think it’s more of a texture thing than the taste. Thanks for sharing the recipes with SYC.

I love hummus, and I really want to try some of these. The garlic parmesan and the cheesy margherita pizza ones look divine! I can’t find tahini where I live, so I may have to start with the ones that don’t have it, and work my way through the list! 🙂
