These Homemade Bath Salts Recipes are a quick and easy way to pamper yourself with an ultra relaxing bath. They make the perfect gifts too.

    Homemade Bath Salts

I have a renewed love of taking baths recently. It’s one of those things that I used to only save for “me time” for some reason. But they have really been wonderful after my workouts!  For extra moisturizing, I follow it up with my favorite homemade Lotion Bars too. I actually forgot how much better I sleep after a nice, relaxing bath.

The salts contain minerals that the skin absorbs to help ease tension and sore muscles. Epsom salt as a natural remedy that helps to flush toxins and form proteins in joints, brain tissue and mucin proteins and help sore muscles recover faster. Baking soda helps keep skin soft and prevents irritation.

Adding the essential oils to bath salts gives it it’s the healing power. Some recipes are for total relaxation (those with lavender), some are mind clearing, some are uplifting rejuvenating (those with peppermint).

If you have a Young Living Premium Starter Kit, it comes with many of the essential oils listed below.

As you have probably seen all over Pinterest, making bath salts are an easy, inexpensive and fabulous gift idea too. Just place all the ingredients in a mason jar and add a cute label.

How to Make Homemade Bath Salts

    1 cup Epsom salt

    ½ cup sea salt

    ¼ cup baking soda

8-10 drops of essential oils (or more if desired)

Use about ½ to 1 cup of the mixture per bath depending on the size of the tub. I have even just halved the ingredients and added them directly to the bath water.

Below are some favorite relaxing homemade bath salts recipes using essential oils:

    8 drops lavender

4 drops lavender and 4 drops cedarwood

4 drops lavender and 4 drops frankincense

4 drops lavender and 4 drops sandalwood

4 drops lavender and 4 drops bergamot

2 drops lavender, 3 drops orange, and 4 drops cedarwood

3 drops lavender, 4 drops Roman chamomile and 2 drops cedarwood

4 drops lavender, 2 drops ylang ylang, and 2 drops orange

4 drops lavender, 2 drops geranium, and 2 drops Roman chamomile

4 drops peppermint and 4 drops orange

4 drops lemon and 4 drops rosemary

    4-8 drops Stress Away

4 drops orange, 4 drops clove, 4 drops cedarwood, 4 drops lemon

4 drops peppermint, 2 drops roman chamomile, 4 drops sandalwood

3 drops frankincense, 3 drops patchouli and 3 drops orange

4 drops Frankincense and 4 drops Stress Away

4 drops frankincense and 4 drops sandalwood

4 drops cedarwood and 4 drops patchouli

    ENJOY!!
