This tasty Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip will quickly become a favorite appetizer recipe in your house. With only 3 ingredients, you will love how simple it is to whip up and serve with fresh veggies and crackers.

Want a new wonderful vegetable dip to try? My mother-in-law introduced me to this fabulous Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip when I first met her years ago. Every single time we arrive at her house for a visit, we are greeted with a tray of fresh veggies and this dip served on a beautiful vegetable platter. (and a glass of wine, yay!) She’s the best mother-in-law ever!
I have started the same tradition when I have company at my house as well. It is just SO easy and it always a huge hit. Everyone who tastes it for the first time leaves with the recipe.
Actually, this cottage cheese dip is even great with your favorite crackers. I have even been known to put it on my turkey burgers too. It is outstanding!
You only need 3 ingredients to make this cottage cheese dip.
I use low fat cottage cheese. You can use full fat as well if you prefer.
Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix is my favorite to use. Be careful to not use the “dip” mix but instead the dressing mix.
Regular mayonnaise is best in my opinion but you can also use low fat or fat-free but the flavor may be different.
Simply combine the cottage cheese, mayonnaise and dry ranch dressing mix together in a bowl and stir thoroughly to mix well.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Serve with fresh vegetables or crackers.

I’m definitely going to try this and the onion soup mix one too! Thanks Sherri and Susan!
I do have one question. Curiosity is killing me, (meow). I’m sure the answer is going to be a “duh” moment for me. But, why so adamant about it being the dressing mix and not the dip?

I use mayo, sour cream and cottage cheese with the ranch mix! Absolutely delish!

Wow absolutely yummy! I added some fresh parsley and a tablespoon of minced garlic then used an electric hand blender. Perfect! Thanks

Great idea. I make something similar with onion soup mix and cottage cheese, but I hadn’t thought about making a ranch version.

Mad it this morning and it turned out fantastic, even better to be lower on calories than regular ranch dressing. I’ve been trying to cook all my own meals and this will be a great addition to most of them, thanks.
Sherri
I’m so happy to hear you liked it as much as we do. 🙂

Sometimes the simplest of ingredients make the best recipe. This sounds delicious! Pinned it. Very popular on last week’s Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop. You are featured this week!

I never would have thought of using cottage cheese for a dip, but that’s a really good idea. Might be a better (or at lest more dip-traditional) texture by running it through a blender or food processor to break up the curds. Hmmm, for that matter, strained yogurt would be good too. Obviously, I need to eat more dip! 😉 [#CraftyAndDelicious]

This looks great! And my husband will love that it’s not sour cream based. I’ll have to not tell him about the mayo, though. yes, I married a man who doesn’t love sour cream or mayo! Thanks for sharing at Busy Monday link-up.

Too funny. I, too, have an anti-mayo husband. But he does love this dip. Especially on a turkey burger.
