These Tahini Brownies are a decadent, chocolatey healthy dessert. The tahini makes them extra moist and no refined sugar keeps them lower in carbs.
A while back I made these healthy brownies and these Almond Butter Brownies that my whole family loves! But I am always up for some new chocolatey yummies to try and the idea of adding tahini to this recipe got me ultra excited.
I don’t when, or more importantly, why I got the thought that eating healthy, clean foods would be a life of tasteless, cardboard-like foods. Boy I’m so glad I was so wrong!
There is nothing better than making something from scratch that you know is not full of refined sugars, preservatives, etc. AND tastes so delicious you truly can’t believe your taste buds.
I have not eaten much tahini in my life (except in the occasional hummus recipe) until a couple of years ago when we found halvah bars and then made our own homemade halvah bars aka “Tahini Candy”.
The added tahini adds a wonderful creaminess to these brownies and they are extra moist. Plus because there is no refined sugar they are also a lower carb treat too. Next time I make them I plan on adding a scoop of unflavored protein powder too.
