    Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

These easy Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe are oven baked in a light seasoning for the perfect amount of crispiness.

This recipe is almost too easy to call a recipe. Like these easy roasted potatoes or these amazing Greek Lemon Potatoes, they are a wonderful snack with any favorite dipping sauce or side dish to so many meals.

The key to making the best crispy sweet potato French fries is to make sure they are not touching each other on your baking sheet.  If they are overlapping at all, they will let off steam and turn out much softer.   Use two baking sheets if you need to.

Replace the garlic and paprika with cinnamon and a little nutmeg. I like to put the spices on after the fries have cooked so the spices don't burn.

Serve these healthy sweet potatoes fries alongside any of these healthy main dish recipes:

    Honey Dijon Pork Tenderloin

    Grilled Italian Chicken

    Grilled Bruschetta Chicken

Ingredients You’ll Need for Crispy Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes – Peeled and sliced into evenly sized sticks, potato wedges, or rounds. Thinner cuts will cook faster and crisp more easily. Fresh is best for crisp texture, but frozen fries can work if baked longer and spaced out well.

Olive oil – I love extra virgin olive oil.  Avocado oil also works well.

    Garlic powder & paprika

Salt & pepper – To taste

    Variations To Try

Try cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg.

Add paprika, chili powder, or cayenne pepper.

Toss with shredded parmesan after baking.

Season with taco seasoning or chipotle powder and fresh lime juice.

How to Make Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425° F.

Step 2: Cut sweet potatoes, Place sliced potatoes in a large bowl and add the olive oil. Toss to coat.

Step 3: Spread evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer  making sure they are not touching.

Step 4: Bake for 15 minutes until brown.

Step 5: Then flip the fries with a spatula Bake for an additional for approx. 10 -15 more minutes until desired crispiness.

Step 6: Sprinkle the spices over the cooked fries.

    Tips

Using parchment paper on the baking sheet helps make sure they don’t stick as much.

Cutting them even helps to make them evenly crispy.

Spray pan with non stick cooking spray.

    How To Store

Store refrigerated in an airtight container.

Best to reheat in the oven at 300 F until warmed through.
