These Roasted Green Beans are healthy, delicious and very easy to make. This tender vegetable makes wonderful addition to any meal or add an incredible new dimension to your holiday table.
Serve this easy side dish with pan seared salmon or simple baked chicken breasts and this mushroom risotto.
Green beans roasted in the oven have an incredible flavor and tastes more carmelized. Plus the added almonds makes them extra special.
This recipe can be eaten as a side dish or even as a snack. I literally can eat them like french fries! So they are amazing when you want something salty and crunchy.
Ingredients Needed
Green Beans – Fresh green beans work the best in my opinion but I have used frozen full green beans as well! Trim the ends off either one.
Olive Oil – Use coconut oil or butter if you’d like.
Raw sliced almonds – gives it such a nice finishing flavor.
Salt and Pepper – the perfect light seasoning.
What to put in green beans to give flavor?
- Sprinkle them with a little parmesan cheese.
- Drizzle with a little balsamic glaze.
- Sprinkle with garlic powder. If adding fresh garlic, add that at the same time as the almonds so it doesn’t burn.
- Use other favorite herbs like rosemary or thyme.
- Add thinly sliced onions.

I’m confused. Is it supposed to be 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and a 1/4 teaspoon of salt? Or is it 1/2 teaspoon of pepper?
Sherri
Well, that was silly of me 🙂 It is 1/4 tsp of each. Less if you prefer, of course.

These look so good! I remember snapping beans from the garden as a kid…these days, though, I slice them with a knife by the handful, haha! Green beans are a favorite veggie!

These look delicious! I haven’t bought fresh green beans in quite a while, and haven’t had a garden in a while too, but this year I have a small garden and I even found a place to plant a package of green beans, hoping to can some this year but I will definitely have to try these. They look so good.
I remember helping my parents snap green beans when I was little, but I don’t think my girls have ever snapped any either. Thanks for sharing! Pinning!
