Easy Sautéed Spinach Recipe
This is one of those healthy side dishes that you can’t get enough of and it’s weekly staple in our house because it’s just that simple.
Spinach is loaded with fiber and essential vitamins and minerals like vitamins A, C, iron, and calcium. So be sure to add it to your meals or smoothies several times a week.
Ingredients needed
Olive oil – I like to use a quality extra virgin olive oil. You can also coconut oil or avocado oil too.
Garlic – fresh garlic cloves is best in my opinion but you can use jarred minced garlic if you’d like.
Spinach – pre-washed baby spinach is my favorite but you can use any fresh spinach leaves and remove any large thick stems. For reference, a pound of spinach is about a cup of cooked spinach so you will need more for a large dinner.
Variations/Substitutions
Add some red pepper flakes if a spicer version.
Drizzle the fresh lemon juice after removing from heat. (Half of a lemon or a tablespoon of store bought lemon juice)
Sprinkle with a little parmesan cheese or romano cheese.
Add a few pine nuts or sliced almonds for a little extra crunch.
Use frozen spinach if you’d like. Just thaw and squeeze all the excess water out before adding to the skillet.
How to Make this Spinach Recipe
Step 1 – In a large skillet, heat the olive oil.
Step 2 – Add the garlic and saute for about one minute.
Step 3 – Add the spinach to the pan and saute on medium heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring often, until the spinach is wilted.
Step 4 – Remove from heat and add salt and pepper to taste.

How many people does this feed? I need to make this for about 30 people, could you let me know how much spinach, garlic and olive oil I will need?
I would greatly appreciate it.

I have not cooked spinach in ages. Always eat it raw. Not one of hubbies favs, but I have got to try this! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

I love sauteed spinach. Also sauteed bok choy and sauteed collard greens. They’re all just so easy and nutritious and tasty.
